The security forces intercepted militants in the Abdul Khel area between Lakki Marwat and Dera Ismail Khan (DI Khan) districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).
As per media reports, no loss has been reported so far, however, firing and explosions have been heard in the area.
Earlier, the funeral prayers of Subedar Qaiser Rahim, who was martyred while bravely fighting against terrorists in Tungi area of Quetta, were offered today at Quetta Garrison.
Corps Commander Balochistan and other senior military officials participated in the funeral prayer.
After the funeral prayer, the body of the martyr was sent to his native region, where the martyr would be buried with full military honours.
