The Pakistan Air Force (PAF) inflicted severe damage on the Indian Air Force (IAF), shooting down multiple fighter aircraft across various locations in a significant escalation during Bunyan-um-Marsoos, according to security sources.
According to details, the retaliatory strikes by the PAF reportedly caused extensive damage to IAF combat assets, with several Indian pilots either injured or missing in action. One Indian fighter jet reportedly crashed in the Anantnag region. The pilot is feared dead and the aircraft’s ejection seat was recovered from Gadool, Kokernag.
Another jet went down in the Pampore or Pulwama area. Both pilots sustained serious injuries and were transferred to a hospital in Srinagar.
A third aircraft crashed in the Ramsu region of Ramban district. Its pilot, Flying Officer Iqbal Singh, was injured and moved to the Army Hospital in Udhampur. Additionally, a fighter jet crashed into agricultural fields in Bharda Kalan, Akhnoor Tehsil. Both pilots on board were injured and taken to the military hospital in Akhnoor.
Security sources confirmed the destruction of another IAF aircraft in the Bathinda region.
Moreover, an Indian Heron remotely piloted vehicle (drone) was shot down approximately 13 nautical miles east of Jammu city.
