Pakistan's efforts to repatriate illegal residents and Afghan Citizen Card holders are continuing at an accelerated pace following the expiration of the deadline for them to leave the country.
More than 9,647 illegal Afghan residents were repatriated on April 23, bringing the total number of illegal Afghan residents who have left Pakistan to 993,089.
The government is implementing strict legal actions against illegal foreigners and Afghan Citizen Card holders who remain in the country. Pakistani authorities have emphasized that they are ensuring dignified repatriation for all those departing.
The government has also guaranteed that no mistreatment will occur during the deportation process, stressing its commitment to handling the situation with respect for those affected.
