A case has been registered at Defence C Police Station against social media influencer Nadeem Mubarak, also known as Naniwala.
According to police, the case has been registered under charges of negligent and reckless driving, interference in official duties, and threatening a public servant. The FIR stated that a luxury vehicle without a number plate was signalled to stop. However, the driver accelerated onto a one-way road instead of complying with the instruction.
The FIR stated that, during the pursuit, the suspect attempted to ram a police vehicle carrying officers.
Defence C Police registered the case on the complaint of the traffic police and commenced further legal proceedings.
Traffic authorities said action would continue without discrimination against motorists driving without number plates, displaying non-standard number plates, or unlawfully using blue or green beacon lights.
Officials made it clear that no leniency would be shown towards those found violating the law.
