Cricket fans have received major relief as stadium attendance has been approved for the play-off matches of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 11.
The decision was confirmed after a meeting between Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and PCB officials, bringing excitement ahead of the final in Lahore.
PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi taking to X (formerly Twitter ) penned that he met the prime minister and received approval to allow spectators in stadiums for the PSL play-offs.
He expressed happiness over the decision, calling it a positive step for cricket fans across the country.
Call for responsible attendance
Naqvi requested fans to use public transport for match attendance and avoid unnecessary fuel consumption.
He said the move aligns with the national austerity campaign and encourages responsible participation from the public.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has officially launched online ticket sales for the final of the 11th edition of the Pakistan Super League.
Fans can book tickets via the official platform pcb.tcs.com.pk, with sales beginning at 4 pm.
The final will be played on May 3 at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.
Security and administrative preparations have already been completed for the high-profile match.
Ticket prices announced
The PCB has set different price categories for fans:
- General enclosure: Rs 1,500
- First class: Rs 2,000
- Premium: Rs 4,000
- VIP enclosure: Rs 6,000
- VVIP (Waqar Younis Enclosure): Rs 8,000
- Zaheer Abbas Enclosure: Rs 10,000
- PCB Gallery: Rs 12,000
Physical tickets will also be available from Tuesday at 18 TCS Express Centres in Lahore.
Fan advisory issued
The PCB has instructed spectators to reach the stadium by 6:30 pm to attend the closing ceremony.
Officials noted that while earlier matches were largely played in empty stadiums due to restrictions, the final will see special permission for fans to return.
