The move marks a significant increase in financial facilities for the team.
DG PSB Muhammad Yasir Pirzada confirmed that the allowance has been approved and will apply throughout the team’s participation in the tournament.
According to officials, national team players have been instructed to receive the daily allowance before their departure for the Pro League matches.
The step aims to ensure smooth preparations and avoid logistical or financial issues during the tour.
Captain Imad Butt welcomes decision
Pakistan hockey team captain Imad Butt welcomed the PSB’s decision, calling it a positive development for the players’ morale.
He said the improved financial support would help players focus fully on performance rather than off-field concerns.
The national hockey team is scheduled to play its FIH Pro League matches from February 10. Pakistan will face strong opponents including Australia and Germany, making the tournament a crucial test for the side.
