As February 2026 approaches, a viral message is once again circulating on social media claiming that the next month is a rare occurrence that comes only once every 823 years.
The message is usually shared in a sensational manner, stating that February 2026 will have four Sundays, four Mondays, four Tuesdays, and similarly four of every day of the week. It often ends by calling it a “miracle,” and in some versions, people are even urged to forward the message to receive blessings or miracles.
However, fact-checkers and calendar experts say this claim is misleading and based on a very simple calculation.
February 2026 will have 28 days because 2026 is not a leap year. Since 28 days equal exactly four weeks (28 ÷ 7 = 4), every day of the week naturally occurs four times.
Therefore, February 2026 is not a rare or miraculous month, nor is it an event that happens once in centuries.
