Pakistani passport holders can now travel to 31 countries with visa-free, visa-on-arrival (VOA), or electronic travel authorization (eTA) access, following Pakistan’s rise to 98th place in the Henley Passport Index 2026.
Pakistan climbed from 100th to 98th position in the latest Henley Passport Index, tying with Yemen.
The improvement reflects expanding diplomatic ties and new international agreements, gradually increasing global mobility for Pakistani citizens.
Growing travel freedom
With access to 31 destinations across Asia, Africa, the Caribbean, and Oceania, Pakistani travellers can now plan vacations, business trips, and short-term visits with greater flexibility.

The expanded access opens doors to beach destinations, cultural hubs, African safaris, and Pacific island escapes without the need for traditional visas.
Global passport rankings
At the top of the index, Singapore retained its position as the world’s strongest passport with visa-free access to 192 destinations.
The United Arab Emirates climbed to fifth place, while India ranked 80th with access to 55 destinations, highlighting gradual mobility gains across the region.
