Pakistan has expressed optimism that the United States will soon restore visas for Pakistani citizens, as the Foreign Office confirmed ongoing engagement with US officials over reported visa restrictions.
During his weekly briefing, Foreign Office Spokesperson Tahir Hussain Andrabi said Pakistan has taken note of reports regarding possible US sanctions and visa restrictions.
He stated that the Foreign Office is in direct contact with officials from the United States to seek clarity on the matter.

The spokesperson said that US authorities have informed Pakistan that Washington is currently reviewing its visa policy. He added that Pakistan hopes this review process will lead to the early lifting of any restrictions affecting Pakistani nationals.
Optimism over visa restoration
Reiterating Pakistan’s position, Tahir Andrabi said Islamabad remains hopeful that US visas for Pakistan will be restored soon. He emphasized that Pakistan continues diplomatic engagement to ensure smooth travel and people-to-people exchanges between the two countries.
