Kendall Jenner has broken her silence on long-running rumors about her sexual orientation, describing the online speculation as hurtful and unwarranted. The 30-year-old model addressed the topic during the Jan. 9 episode of the In Your Dreams podcast.
During the interview with host Owen Thiele, Jenner acknowledged that a portion of the internet believes she is a lesbian. She called out the aggressive tone of some online commentary.
“There’s a whole side of the internet that thinks I’m a lesbian,” Jenner said. “What really bothers me is how mean people are about it. It’s not welcoming. It’s not kind. It’s very aggressive.”
She clarified that while she does not identify as gay, she would not feel pressured to hide it if she did.
“Knowing myself, I think at this point in my life I’d be out if I was,” Jenner added. “That doesn’t mean coming out is easy. It isn’t, but I know how I’d want to live my life.”
Pushback against “bad for business” narrative
Jenner also rejected claims suggesting that being open about her sexuality could hurt her career.
“I don’t understand that narrative at all,” she said. “As of today, I am not. I don’t think I will be, but I’m not closing doors to experiences in life.
Over the years, Jenner has been linked romantically to high-profile figures including Harry Styles, NBA star Devin Booker, and rapper Bad Bunny, whom she reportedly split from in late 2023.
Despite sharing personal insights on the podcast, Jenner reiterated her preference for privacy in her dating life. She has often stated that public relationships can complicate personal connections.
“For me, relationships are sacred,” she said. “Making them public just makes everything messier.”
