The Pakistan Army successfully foiled coordinated, cowardly attacks by the Afghan Taliban and Fitna al-Khawarij terrorists in the Spin Boldak area of Chaman.
The terrorists launched separate assaults early in the morning, targeting multiple Pakistani positions. The Pakistan Army responded swiftly and effectively at four locations, forcing the attackers to retreat after heavy losses, according to Inter-Services Public Relations in a statement on Wednesday.
Attackers used civilians as shields
ISPR said that the Afghan Taliban and Fitna al-Khawarij militants used nearby villages and innocent civilians as human shields during the assault.
In the Pakistan Army’s timely counteraction, 15 to 20 attackers were killed and several others injured, while several others fled back across the border. The military spokesman described the Army’s response as “precise and decisive,” preventing further damage or casualties on the Pakistani side.
Heavy operations in Zhob, Chaman sectors
The Pakistan Army has also intensified counter-operations in the Zhob and Chaman sectors, where heavy artillery and mortar fire were used to target Taliban positions and Khawarij militant shelters.
Security reports confirm that several posts and hideouts were destroyed, leaving numerous Taliban fighters dead or wounded.
The Army’s precise targeting and use of heavy weaponry have resulted in significant enemy losses, ensuring that Pakistan’s territorial integrity remains fully defended.
Friendship Gate destroyed from Afghan side
The attackers also blew up the Pak-Afghan Friendship Gate from the Afghan side during the operation.
ISPR said the destruction of the gate proves that the Afghan Taliban are opposed to peaceful trade and cross-border transport, adding that the incident underscores the group’s growing hostility toward regional stability and commerce.
Full response to Afghan aggression in Nushki
The Pakistan Army has launched a comprehensive counteroffensive in response to aggression by Afghan Taliban forces in the Nushki sector, successfully destroying multiple enemy positions and neutralizing hundreds of militants.

Footage from the operation shows that the Ghaznali post was completely destroyed, with Afghan Taliban forces fleeing and leaving behind weapons and equipment.
During overnight operations from October 11 to 12, the Pakistan Army destroyed several Taliban hideouts across the border and temporarily took control of 21 enemy posts.
Security sources confirmed that multiple terrorist training camps were also rendered inoperative, while intelligence reports indicate that over 200 Taliban fighters and allied militants were killed, with many more injured.
The Pakistan Army remains fully prepared to deliver a strong and decisive response to any future external aggression, officials added.
Army destroys key hideouts in Kandahar
The Pakistan Army has carried out precision strikes targeting key hideouts of the Afghan Taliban in Kandahar province, Afghanistan, security sources confirmed. According to security officials, the strikes successfully destroyed Battalion No. 4 and Border Brigade No. 6 of the Afghan Taliban, inflicting heavy losses on the group.
As a result of these operations, dozens of Afghan and foreign operatives were killed, sources added.
Security officials emphasized that the Pakistan Army is fully capable of delivering a strong, severe, and comprehensive response to any form of external aggression.
Afghan propaganda exposed at Pak-Afghan Friendship Gate
Security sources revealed that the Afghan Taliban’s social media propaganda attempting to mislead the public about the Pak-Afghan Friendship Gate incident has been exposed.
According to the findings, the Taliban attempted to destroy the gate on their own side of the border and falsely claimed it belonged to Pakistan. However, video evidence clearly shows that the gate on Pakistan’s side remains fully intact.
Officials said the Afghan Taliban are spreading misinformation to conceal their battlefield losses, using propaganda tactics similar to those often employed by the Indian media.
Ceasefire request
Meanwhile, security sources say that during the Pakistan Army’s effective operations, several hideouts, posts, and tanks belonging to the Afghan Taliban and Fitna al-Khawarij were destroyed along with their personnel.
Sources said that the Pakistan Army gave a strong and decisive response to the aggression. After suffering heavy casualties, the Afghan Taliban requested a ceasefire.
Security officials further revealed that the defeated Taliban are now circulating false videos on social media, which are completely baseless and misleading.
According to the sources, the Pakistan Army remains fully prepared to deliver a powerful and more-than-expected response to any future act of aggression by the Afghan Taliban or Fitna al-Khawarij.
Foiled attack in Kurram sector
Separately, the Pakistan Army had thwarted another joint attack by Afghan Taliban and Fitna al-Khawarij terrorists in the Kurram sector last night.
In a powerful counter-offensive, eight enemy posts and six tanks along with their crews were destroyed, and 25 to 30 terrorists killed. The Army also killed several terrorists and seized a cache of American-made weapons used in the assault.
Moreover, the ISPR rejected the allegations of Pakistan attacking Afghanistan as baseless and false. It said the Taliban government's propaganda did not match the facts on the ground. The Pakistan Army will give an effective, immediate and forceful response to every aggression, ISPR added.
Current situation and future concerns
Following the Pakistan Army’s strong retaliation, the situation in the Kurram sector remains calm, sources said. However, intelligence reports indicate that more Afghan Taliban and Fitna al-Khawarij fighters are gathering near Spin Boldak, suggesting the potential for renewed hostilities.
Security forces remain on high alert, monitoring the border closely to prevent any further infiltration or attacks.
