Flight operations at Sialkot International Airport remained suspended for the fourth consecutive day due to flooding.
The airport, which usually handles an average of 10 to 11 international flights daily, has seen all arrivals and departures halted since the floodwaters inundated the facility.
According to airport spokesperson Muhammad Umair Khan, the administration has been working continuously for the past four days to drain the floodwater on its own. He warned that the suspension of flight operations could be extended further if the situation does not improve.
Khan added that the district administration has assured full support, expressing hope that the water will be cleared soon to allow flight operations to resume.
