The Narendra Modi-led government has blocked the central and global X (formerly Twitter) accounts of international news agency Reuters in India.
According to unofficial media reports, access to both the main Reuters X account and the Reuters World account has been restricted.
Users attempting to access these accounts in India are shown a message stating that the content has been withheld in response to a legal demand.
The move came after the failure of "Operation Sindoor", after which the Modi administration reportedly ordered the blocking of several international accounts, including those of Pakistani media outlets and social media influencers.
