According to Saudi authorities, these measures aim to guarantee the protection of pilgrims, especially this year when millions of Muslims will visit Saudi Arabia for their spiritual journey during Hajj.

Furthermore, the use of helicopters for aerial surveillance is part of strengthening security arrangements during Hajj.
