Renowned Pakistani actress Nadia Afgan has revealed that she received death threats from fans of Feroze Khan after criticizing his work ethic in the TV review show.
Nadia, a seasoned performer known for her candid nature and sharp insights, found herself at the receiving end of intense backlash from a segment of fans who took her comments personally.
Speaking on the show, Nadia shared that she had called out Feroze Khan’s intimidating behaviour on set, describing him as a difficult co-star. This, however, did not sit well with Feroze’s die-hard supporters. “Some of the actors were not happy, and I even received a few death threats from a certain actor’s fandom,” she said. “They told me, ‘You’re gaining masala out of it’ and said things like, ‘We will kill you’ or ‘We will take your life. You don’t know how to act.”
While the threats were deeply unsettling, Nadia maintained her stance, saying, “To them, I just want to say, ‘I may not be perfect, but I do know how to act.’” She also added that she received support from many in the industry, including actors and writers who appreciated her honest reviews. Fellow actress Atiqa Odho, who was also present during the discussion, commented lightheartedly, “I’m happy that you’re finally getting some heat and the focus has shifted from us to you.”
Reflecting further, Nadia acknowledged the growing toxicity of some fan groups. “Some actors’ fans are extremely lethal and toxic—they come after you. Some of the threats scared me because they were coming from fresh accounts. At least come forward and put your picture on display!” she said.
