The Rawalpindi district administration has issued strict orders for a complete blackout in all private housing societies from 7pm to 5am until further notice in light of heightened security concerns following Indian aggression.
According to the official directive, street lights will remain switched off throughout the night, and residents are required to turn off all exterior lights, including those in porches, balconies, and gardens.
The administration has also advised residents and businesses to keep all windows fully covered and to limit the use of interior lighting as much as possible.
The order emphasizes the importance of avoiding unnecessary travel during the blackout hours to maintain public order and security coordination.
