The "Made in Pakistan" exhibition held from June 28 to 30 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, saw the participation of over 80 corporate logistics companies.
Organized under the supervision of the National Logistics Corporation (NLC), the event attracted a significant number of government, business, and industry representatives from both Pakistan and Uzbekistan.
During the three-day event, participants reviewed NLC's capabilities to facilitate cross-border transportation.
The Director General of NLC presented a special paper on end-to-end multimodal logistics to enhance regional trade.
The NLC team also engaged in exclusive business-to-business meetings with Uzbek officials, resulting in approximately 2,000 meetings over the event's duration.
A notable highlight was the signing of a $40 million Memorandum of Understanding between a Pakistani company and the government of Bukhara.
Additionally, significant meetings were held between the heads of International Investment and Export, the Textile Industry Association of Uzbekistan, and the Chief Executive of the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan.
NLC emphasized the efficiency of its transportation services, underscoring its role in providing Uzbek traders with swift access to regional and global markets through Pakistani ports.
The NLC stall became a focal point at the exhibition, showcasing diverse logistics services, including the Transport Internationaux Routiers (TIR) system. Delegates and business representatives were briefed on NLC's time- and cost-efficient logistics operations.
The event also facilitated government-to-government meetings, paving the way for stronger trade and economic relations between Pakistan, Uzbekistan, and the broader Central Asian region.
