Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar has emphasized the government's unwavering commitment to combatting terrorism, asserting that there would be no negotiations with terrorists, and they would be met with a response in their own language.
Echoing the sentiments of the prime minister in a statement addressing a point of order in the National Assembly on Friday, the minister underscored the government's zero tolerance policy against terrorists. He emphasized that any acts of terrorism would be met with a strong response.
"There will be no negotiations with terrorists," he asserted.
Furthermore, the law minister expressed disappointment over the behaviour of some members during yesterday's president's address to the joint sitting of parliament. He described their conduct as shameful, noting that disruptions during such addresses were not uncommon and did not reflect well on the institution.
Highlighting the importance of decorum and respect in parliamentary proceedings, Tarar stated that such behaviour was not conducive to constructive dialogue and debate. He urged members to uphold the dignity of the House and refrain from disruptive actions during important parliamentary sessions.
