Inspector General of Sindh Police Ghulam Nabi Memon has formed a high-level committee to ensure a transparent investigation into the violence and arson that occurred during a protest by a nationalist group in Moro.
DIG West Karachi Irfan Baloch has been appointed as the head of the investigation team. Other members of the committee include SSP Shaheed Benazirabad Shabbir Sethar, DSP CIA Hyderabad Iftikhar Buriro, and SSP CIA Karachi Amjad Ahmed Shaikh.
The investigation team will thoroughly examine all aspects of the incident, including the identification of those involved in the unrest, the role and strategy adopted by the police during the event, and determining what legal actions should be taken against those found responsible.
The committee is expected to submit its report to senior officials soon. Legal action will be initiated based on the findings of the investigative report.
