Acclaimed Pakistani actress Mahira Khan has finally spoken out about the removal of her image from the posters of the Bollywood film ‘Raees’, in which she starred alongside Shah Rukh Khan.
The removal came after India imposed a ban on Pakistani actors and YouTube channels, erasing the names of Pakistani artists from film credits and promotional materials.
Mahira shared her candid thoughts while appearing on a show with Humayun Saeed to promote their upcoming film, Love Guru.
“I didn’t feel bad about it, even for a second. I actually laughed about it. It was a very small thing to do, a silly thing to do,” Mahira said during the interview.
Her co-star, Humayun Saeed, echoed her sentiment, adding that the decision to erase Mahira’s image was “a very petty thing to do.”
Despite the incident, Mahira Khan was quick to pivot the conversation towards the vibrant Pakistani entertainment industry, saying, “We have so much to celebrate about Pakistani entertainment.”
