His arrival at Dushanbe Airport was warmly greeted by Tajik Minister of Transport, Azeem Ibrahim, setting the tone for a productive engagement.
During his stay, he engaged in pivotal discussions with his Tajik counterpart, emphasizing the mutual commitment to fostering deeper ties between their nations. Grateful for the warm reception, Khan extended his gratitude to the Tajik Minister for their hospitality.
A key focus of their deliberations revolved around augmenting trade links between Tajikistan and Pakistan, leveraging strategic routes through China and Afghanistan. Both sides agreed to initiate a groundbreaking pilot project aimed at enhancing port operations in Gwadar and Karachi, heralding a new era of economic collaboration.
Abdul Aleem Khan expressed his dedication to serving as an ambassador of Tajikistan in Pakistan, further amplifying bilateral cooperation. Reflecting on the profound significance of harmonious neighborly relations, Khan underscored the invaluable blessing of good neighboring countries.
Highlighting Tajikistan's pivotal role as a potential "gateway" to Central Asia, the federal minister envisioned a future of expanded opportunities for both nations.
In a testament to the depth of their engagement, he also met with Tajik Minister of Economic Development and Trade, Zavqizoda Zavqi Amin, where they mutually resolved to intensify business exchanges, including increased visits from Kazakhstan.
Furthermore, Mr Khan emphasized the importance of bolstering organic exports between Pakistan and Tajikistan, paving the way for sustainable economic growth. Assuring steadfast support, Khan committed to facilitating one direct flight per week from Tajikistan, enhancing connectivity and fostering closer people-to-people ties.
