Addressing a presser Barrister Gohar affirmed PTI's commitment to democratic values and emphasized the unity of party workers for success in the upcoming elections scheduled for February 8.
He announced that the finalisation of the candidate list is imminent, urging party members to set aside personal differences.
Claiming the unwavering support of Sher Afzal Marwat, Barrister Gohar expressed confidence that Marwat, contesting from Lucky Marwat, would secure victory despite recent setbacks.
However, he acknowledged the challenges within PTI, citing internal disagreements as an inherent aspect of democratic processes.
Addressing the issue of alliances, Barrister Gohar clarified that PTI has never allied with the Sunni Etihad Council, dispelling rumors to the contrary. He further mentioned the ideological alliance with PTI, hinting at the complexities that unfolded post-alliance.
Sher Afzal Marwat's response
The controversy surrounding Sher Afzal Marwat escalated due to statements made by PTI leaders Rauf Hassan and Hamid Khan during the election campaign in Sindh.
Sher Afzal Marwat, responding to the remarks, withdrew from the campaign, denouncing the statements as products of "sick mentality."
Hamid Khan and Raoof Hassan had questioned Sher Afzal Marwat's activities, with Rauf Hasan explicitly stating that he had not received any instructions from Marwat.
