Pakistan left-arm spinner Noman Ali has signed for Lancashire ahead of the closing matches of the County Championship.
Lancashire said Noman will represent the county in the final fixtures of the competition. Noman said he is looking forward to playing County Championship cricket in England for the first time.
Speaking after the move, Noman said: “Lancashire is one of the biggest clubs in the UK, with so much history and heritage. I am following in the footsteps of Pakistan hero Wasim Akram, who played for Lancashire for many years.”
The county also shared a message on its official X account, saying: “Our new man Noman Ali on signing for the Red Rose.”
Lancashire has a long tradition of producing leading cricketers who have gone on to represent their countries in international cricket.
Noman has represented Pakistan in Test cricket and has claimed the wickets of several leading batters after building extensive experience in domestic cricket.
