Argentina legend Lionel Messi nutmegged Spain's young star Lamine Yamal during the first half of the 2026 World Cup final, the first match in which the two players faced each other.
Messi received the ball in Spain's half and beat Yamal before playing it through the youngster's legs in a fine piece of skill during the opening half of the final.
A photograph of Messi bathing Yamal as a baby during a charity event in December 2007 later became widely known.
