The price of gold in Pakistan and global markets saw a minor drop on Tuesday after three consecutive hikes, falling below record levels.
However, gold remains above $5,000 per ounce in the international gold market, while the price of silver hit a new record again.
The price of 24-karat gold per tola fell by just Rs1,500, bringing the new rate to Rs530,562, according to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold dropped by Rs1,286, settling at Rs454,871. The price of 10 grams of 22-karat gold also declined by Rs1,179 to be sold for Rs416,980.

International gold prices
The downward movement was not limited to Pakistan. In the global bullion market, gold fell by $15, reaching $5,082 per ounce.
Silver prices in Pakistan
Silver prices also followed the trend. The price of 24-karat silver per tola dropped by Rs212 to Rs11,640, while 10 grams of silver also decreased by Rs182 to be sold for Rs9,979.
