The price of gold in Pakistan finally saw a dip on Thursday, following a steady rise for almost a week.
The price of 24-karat gold per tola fell by Rs3,700, bringing the new rate to Rs482,462, according to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold dropped by Rs3,172, settling at Rs413,633. The price of 10 grams of 22-karat gold also declined by Rs2,908 to be sold for Rs379,177.

International gold prices
The downward movement was not limited to Pakistan. In the global bullion market, gold fell by $37, reaching $4,601 per ounce.
Silver prices in Pakistan
Silver prices also followed suit. The price of 24-karat silver per tola dropped by Rs150 to be sold for Rs9,425, while 10 grams of silver decreased by Rs129 to come down to Rs8,080
