Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday announced the construction of Danish School in Khyber Pakhunkhwa’s Haripur.
He distributed laptops among students during a ceremony held under the Prime Minister’s Laptop Scheme at the University of Haripur.
Addressing the gathering, the Prime Minister said that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is a province of brave and resilient people who have been confronting terrorism for decades. He paid tribute to the sacrifices of the police and security forces, stating that the country’s stability and survival are a result of their unwavering dedication.
The Prime Minister announced that more laptops would be distributed across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, emphasizing that Pakistan’s progress lies in empowering its young generation. He recalled that during his tenure as Chief Minister of Punjab, he had sent 600 students abroad to learn the Chinese language.
Shehbaz Sharif said that Pakistan would become a great nation only when all four provinces progress together. Referring to regional security, he stated that the armed forces of Pakistan had taught the Modi-led Indian government a lesson in war that it would never forget, adding that victory against India was achieved through the prayers of the people.
He said Allah Almighty accepted the nation’s prayers and bestowed honor upon Pakistan-an honor that continues to be respected to this day.
The Prime Minister said that India would never be able to forget its defeat, and noted that a total of 600,000 laptops have so far been distributed purely on merit. He announced plans to send students from across Pakistan abroad for training in artificial intelligence (AI).
Speaking on the economy, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said Pakistan had emerged from economic turmoil and was no longer facing the threat of default, stressing that the next goal was to achieve sustainable growth. He remarked that progress could not be achieved through magic or superstition, but through unity, hard work, and determination.
He further said that if the nation decided to move ahead of other countries, Allah’s help would be with them. Unity, he added, would make Pakistan’s progress unstoppable.
During the ceremony, the Prime Minister also announced the establishment of a Danish School in Haripur and emphasized the importance of respecting the culture of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
