Pakistan’s gold market saw a slight drop on Saturday, a day after witnessing one of the biggest hikes in history.
Gold became cheaper across Pakistan as the price of 24-karat gold per tola fell by Rs2,000, bringing the new rate to Rs452,262, according to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold dropped by Rs1,715, settling at Rs387,741. The price of 10 grams of 22-karat gold also declined by Rs1,572 to be sold for Rs355,442.

International gold prices
The downward movement was not limited to Pakistan. In the global bullion market, gold fell by $20, reaching $4,299 per ounce.
Silver prices in Pakistan
Silver prices also followed the same trend. The price of silver per tola decreased by Rs220, reaching Rs6,464, while 10 grams of silver dropped by Rs189 to be sold for Rs5,541.
