Field Marshal Asim Munir has expressed deep concern over the use of Afghan soil for terrorism in Pakistan, urging the Taliban government to adopt a path of mutual security, peace, and development instead of perpetuating violence.
In a strong address at the Pakistan Military Academy’s passing-out parade on Saturday, he warned that every proxy of India would be crushed, declaring that Pakistan’s armed forces will defeat all forms of terrorism just as they have prevailed on traditional battlefronts.
'Use of Afghan soil for terrorism deeply worrisome'
Asim Munir said the continued use of Afghan territory for terrorist activities inside Pakistan poses a serious threat to regional peace and security. “Using Afghan soil for terrorism in Pakistan is worrisome,” he emphasized.

He called on the Taliban authorities to fulfill their responsibility of ensuring that Afghan territory is not used by militant proxies, urging them to prioritize development over extremism. “The Taliban government should choose mutual security instead of constant violence,” he said, appealing to the Afghan people to work for peace and progress.
'Every proxy of India will be crushed'
Delivering a stern warning to India and its state-backed networks, Field Marshal Munir declared that Pakistan will decisively defeat every Indian proxy operating in the region.
“Just as victory was achieved on the conventional front, these proxies will also be defeated,” he stated, reaffirming Pakistan’s resolve to safeguard its sovereignty and eliminate terrorism in all its forms.
He further noted that India has adopted terrorism as a state policy, exploiting extremist groups to destabilize Pakistan and its neighbouring regions. “Our opponent’s use of Fitna-ul-Hindustan and Fitna-ul-Khawarij as weapons exposes its disgusting, hypocritical, and heartless face to the world,” he added.
'Taliban must control proxies'
Field Marshal Munir stressed that the Taliban government must act decisively to curb militant groups using Afghan soil to launch attacks against Pakistan. He warned that law enforcement agencies and the armed forces are fully capable and determined to defeat these terrorist networks.

“The Afghan government should stop the proxies present on its soil,” he said. “Rest assured, just as we achieved victory on the traditional front, every proxy state in the neighbourhood will be crushed.”
Pakistan reaffirms commitment to peace and stability
Reiterating Pakistan’s long-standing commitment to regional peace, the Army Chief called on all neighbouring countries to reject state-sponsored terrorism and work collectively for security and prosperity.
“The choice before our region is clear: violence or development, extremism or cooperation,” Field Marshal Munir concluded, emphasizing that Pakistan’s resolve to defend its borders and citizens remains unshakable.
