Popular TikToker Samiya Hijab has alleged that a young man from Lahore attempted to kidnap her after she rejected his marriage proposal, further claiming he has been threatening to kill her for the past three months.
In a video statement shared on social media, Hijab described the alleged encounter, saying the man had been persistently pressuring her to marry him.
“First he used to tell me to marry him. I rejected his proposal, but he kept following me,” she said.

According to Hijab, the situation escalated when the man arrived outside her home while her mother was ill and her brother was away. She claimed he tried to snatch her phone, forced her towards his car, and attempted to take her away. “I also have a recording of this,” she added.
Reference to previous case
Highlighting the risks women face, Hijab drew a parallel with the case of her friend, Sana Yousaf, who was reportedly killed after refusing a marriage proposal.

“I don’t want to be Sana. I don’t want to be among those girls who cannot speak up for themselves,” Hijab said.
Police involvement and demand for action
The TikToker confirmed that Islamabad Police had recorded her statement and filed a report. She expressed hope that authorities would arrest the suspect soon.
Calling for stronger measures, Hijab appealed to Inspector General of Police Islamabad to take strict action. “There are many girls going through the same situation but they cannot speak out,” she said, urging collective support.
