Pakistan and Armenia have formally established diplomatic relations on Sunday.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar met Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan, during which both sides exchanged a joint communiqué concerning the establishment of diplomatic ties between the two countries.

According to the Foreign Office, the two foreign ministers reaffirmed their commitment to the United Nations Charter. They also discussed potential cooperation across various sectors, including economy, education, culture and tourism.
Both leaders expressed their desire to work together in pursuit of common objectives.
In a post shared on the social media platform X, Ishaq Dar said that he and Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan signed and exchanged the joint communiqué. The exchange took place in Tianjin, China, on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation meeting.

Ishaq Dar said the two ministers reiterated their commitment to the principles and purposes of the UN Charter and agreed to strengthen cooperation in multiple sectors, including economy, education, culture and tourism.
It is worth recalling that a few days earlier, a telephone conversation was held between Ishaq Dar and the Armenian Foreign Minister.
