The district administration has announced that all educational institutions in Sialkot — both government and private — will remain closed from September 1 to 5 due to ongoing flood damage.
According to the official notification, many schools in the district have been severely affected by recent floods, making it impossible to continue educational activities.
The administration said the step has been taken to ensure the safety of students, teachers, and staff while restoration work continues.
Meanwhile, in Chiniot, floodwaters have badly damaged the infrastructure of education and health departments. Officials confirmed that 88 schools have been left unfit for academic use. Deputy Commissioner Chiniot stated that urgent measures are underway to restore schools and hospitals in the affected areas.
Lahore schools resume with exceptions
