The United Kingdom has called for de-escalation, stating it was not involved in the attacks on Iran.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), British Foreign Secretary David Lammy said the United States had taken action to address the threat posed by a nuclear-armed Iran, and added that "Iran must never possess a nuclear weapon."
"The UK did not take part in these attacks," he said.
Lammy also stated that he had spoken to his counterparts in both Iran and Israel to highlight the need for de-escalation, and stressed the importance of a "diplomatic, negotiated solution" to end the crisis.
