As Pakistan celebrates the first day of Eid-ul-Adha, the country is bracing for extremely hot and dry weather conditions, with the Met Department warning of soaring daytime temperatures across most regions.
According to the Met Office, the weather will remain intensely hot in Islamabad and much of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, while Punjab, Sindh, and Balochistan will continue to sizzle under clear skies and blazing sunshine.
In the afternoon, strong and dusty winds are likely to sweep through the plains of Punjab, Sindh, and Balochistan, potentially disrupting outdoor Eid activities and travel plans.
Despite the overall heatwave-like conditions, some relief may be on the way for residents in northern districts. Light rain is expected this evening in parts of Swat, Chitral, Kohistan, Mohmand, Kurram, and Khyber, offering temporary respite from the scorching temperatures.
Regional Breakdown:
-
Islamabad: Hot weather expected throughout the day
-
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: Extremely hot in most districts, with chances of evening rain in northern areas
-
