Hit drama serial Mann Mast Malang is facing heavy criticism for a recent romantic scene that many viewers found inappropriate and offensive.
The drama tells the story of two families at odds after a tragic incident involving Kabir Khan (Danish Taimoor) and Riya Asghar Ali (Sahar Hashmi), and it is written by Nooran Makhdoom—known for Tere Bin—and directed by Ali Faizan.
While the drama has been widely watched across Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Nepal, and beyond, its latest episode has triggered severe backlash on social media. In the scene, Kabir forcefully grabs Riya and begins dancing with her in a manner that many fans called “overly romantic” and “unacceptable” for Pakistani television.
One viewer criticized the show, saying, “It’s quite sad to see that Pakistani dramas, once celebrated for their subtle romance, are now borrowing indecency from Indian content.” Another wrote, “Harassment is being normalized in Pakistani dramas.” Some fans also singled out actor Danish Taimoor, referencing his viral statement from the Filhal music video, and implying that such scenes contradict his public image.

Another user voiced concern about the impact on audiences, commenting, “These vulgar dramas have destroyed the innocent minds of people.” Many lamented the decline in moral standards, with one remarking, “Pakistani drama makers should uphold our values, not compromise them for views.”
Fans are urging production teams to be more mindful of how intimate scenes are portrayed and their potential impact on viewers.
