At least 15 people lost their lives and more than 50 sustained injuries in separate road accidents across the country on the second day of Eid-ul-Azha.
In Karor Lal Esan, a speeding bus overturned, resulting in two fatalities and injuring 26 others. In Dera Ismail Khan, a car went out of control and plunged into a ravine, killing four people, including two brothers and their children.
In Ghotki, three people were killed and seven injured when a truck collided with a vehicle transporting livestock. In another incident near Khairpur’s Gambat area, a trailer ran over a rickshaw carrying pilgrims, leaving two dead and 12 injured.
On GT Road in Jhelum, two vehicles collided, causing the death of one individual. Near Mian Channu, a high-speed car overturned, resulting in one fatality.
Separate accidents in Mian Channu, Sialkot, Jhelum and Ghotki left four people dead, including a woman, and injured two others. In Shangla, six people were injured when a vehicle fell into a ravine.
