An earthquake measuring 4.4 on the Richter scale was recorded in the Zhob region of Balochistan, according to the Seismological Centre on Thursday.
According to details, the epicentre was located approximately 60 kilometres southeast of Zhob, with a depth of 40 kilometres beneath the Earth's surface.
Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department director general had stated that the monsoon was expected to begin about a month earlier than usual.
"Typically, the monsoon season in Pakistan occurs during July and August", he added.
