Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has declared a state of emergency across the entire province. All law enforcement agencies, including the Punjab Police, have been placed on high alert, and comprehensive security measures have been implemented across districts.
Addressing the ongoing crisis, CM Maryam strongly condemned the cowardly Indian attack, stating that the entire nation stands united and prepared to confront the enemy with strength and resilience.

“Protecting every inch of Pakistan is part of our faith and my oath,” she said. “The enemy attacked in May; we will give a befitting reply like we did on May 28, 1998. Every child of Pakistan will excel in this test and will emerge victorious by the grace and mercy of Allah Almighty.”
Educational institutions closed
In a move to ensure public safety, all educational institutions across Punjab will remain closed today, and all scheduled exams have been postponed.

The provincial government has also cancelled the leaves of all doctors and medical staff across Punjab. Medical professionals have been instructed to report for duty immediately at their respective hospitals and healthcare centres to prepare for any emergency response.
Civil and district administration on standby
District administrations in all 36 districts of Punjab are now on high alert. In addition, officers and staff from other vital departments, including Civil Defense, have been summoned to duty.
CM Maryam Nawaz emphasized that Pakistan’s unity and resolve will be the country’s greatest strength in this hour of trial. “This is not just a military confrontation; this is a test of national unity, resilience, and courage,” she asserted.
