Bayern Munich coach Thomas Tuchel expressed concern on Saturday about Harry Kane's recent performance and emphasised the need for the team to do more to involve the striker, who has been "unsatisfied" with his contributions in the last two matches, both of which ended in losses for Bayern.
Despite Kane's impressive goal-scoring record of 24 league goals in 21 games this season, he has not managed to register a shot on target in the recent matches against Bayer Leverkusen and Lazio in the Champions League.
Tuchel acknowledged the stark contrast between Kane's exceptional performance in training, where he excels at scoring and motivating the team, and his comparatively subdued impact during actual games.
Reflecting on the situation, Tuchel noted, "I have seldom experienced such a difference in what a player has been able to bring on the pitch in training and on the pitch in actual games."
Despite the dip in form, Tuchel refrained from offering advice to the experienced striker, stating, "Harry doesn't need me. He can take care of himself."
The coach acknowledged that both Kane and the team were dissatisfied with the current situation. Tuchel highlighted the need for improvement in how Kane is implemented during matches, as the team prepares to face Bochum on Sunday.
Bayern faces the challenge of avoiding a third consecutive defeat, a feat they haven't encountered since 2015.
