The Pakistan Army has extended congratulations to the populace for the overall peaceful conduct of the General Elections 2024.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) issued a statement expressing pride in the pivotal role played by the armed forces in ensuring security throughout the electoral process.
According to ISPR, in collaboration with other law enforcement agencies, the Pakistan Army diligently discharged its duties, maintaining law and order to facilitate a smooth voting process.
Stressing adherence to constitutional obligations, ISPR reiterated the military's commitment to upholding the democratic principles enshrined in the nation's governance framework.
The statement further stated that approximately 137,000 soldiers were deployed across nearly 6,000 sensitive polling stations, while an additional 7,800 troops stood ready as a quick response force, ensuring prompt intervention if necessary.
