Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir has arrived in Türkiye for a two-day official visit, according to security sources.
He received a warm welcome upon his arrival as Pakistan and Türkiye continue high-level engagement aimed at strengthening their longstanding strategic and defence relationship.
Security sources said Field Marshal Asim Munir would hold important meetings with senior members of Türkiye’s political and military leadership during the visit.
The discussions are expected to focus on matters of mutual interest and bilateral cooperation, although a detailed agenda has not yet been officially released.
Visit highlights close Pakistan-Türkiye ties
Pakistan and Türkiye maintain close political, military and people-to-people relations, with regular high-level exchanges between the leaderships of both countries.
The two nations also cooperate in defence training, military technology and regional security matters.
Field Marshal Asim Munir’s two-day visit is expected to provide another opportunity for both sides to review their bilateral relationship and explore ways to deepen military and strategic cooperation.
