The Law Ministry has issued a notification for PTI Chairman Imran Khan’s trial in Adiala Jail in the Toshakhana and 190 million pounds scandal cases.
The notification for hearing the National Accountability Bureau’s cases against Imran Khan in jail was issued after approval by the federal government.
The document says that the accountability court will conduct proceedings of the Toshakhana and 190 million-pound scandal cases in Adiala Jail.
Previously, the Interior Ministry had issued a notification for conducting a jail trial of Imran Khan in the 190-million-pound case by the accountability court.
The NAB was also allowed to investigate the former prime minister for three days in jail. A court order had said that, according to the NAB, the PTI chief returned the money looted from Pakistan to the accused.
According to the bureau, the suspect returned the money and took land and money for Al-Qadir Trust in exchange. There was concrete evidence that Imran Khan committed corruption, it claimed.
Imran claimed he did not take any financial benefits, adding that if his government had proved money laundering, it would have cost 100 million pounds.
