Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has termed Pakistan and Iran as “brothers with one heart and one soul”.
Addressing a joint stakeout alongside PM Shehbaz on Tuesday, the Iranian president said the two countries are bound by a shared destiny rooted in deep historical, cultural and civilisational ties.

He said Pakistan is not only a neighbour but a brotherly nation, and commended Islamabad’s constructive role at a critical moment for the region.
Pezeshkian credits Shehbaz, Field Marshal for Pakistan de-escalation role
President Pezeshkian also credited Pakistan’s leadership for contributing to de-escalation efforts. He stated: “If it were not for the efforts of Pakistan, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, we would not be here today.”
