Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital Chief Medical Officer Dr Asim Yousuf has said that the health of PTI Founder Imran Khan is improving and his eyesight has shown significant recovery.
Speaking about the latest medical updates in a video message, Dr. Asim Yousuf revealed that he had a detailed 40-minute discussion with the doctors currently treating Imran Khan.
Dr Yousuf said he spoke to two doctors in Islamabad at 9:45pm last night. His conversation with the treating doctors continued for about 40 minutes, during which they shared details about the treatment, medical tests, and the future course of action.
Lahore-based retinal specialist Dr. Khurram Azam Mirza also joined the discussion.

“These doctors are treating the founder’s eye problem and informed us in detail about the treatment and further steps taken so far,” Dr. Asim said.
Eyesight has improved significantly
According to Dr Yousuf, Imran Khan's overall condition is good and his eyesight has improved considerably. He confirmed that the former prime minister was examined on Sunday afternoon by the medical team.

However, he clarified that he did not personally see the PTI founder and was briefed by the treating doctors instead.
Involvement in healthcare decisions
Dr Yousuf emphasized that he and Dr. Faisal Sultan should be allowed to participate directly in the healthcare process. He said the family wants Imran Khan to receive further treatment at Shifa International Hospital.

“Further treatment should be carried out at Shifa International Hospital in Islamabad,” he stated.
He added that permission should be granted for him and Dr. Faisal Sultan to be formally involved in the medical process.
