The Lahore High Court (LHC) has approved a transport monetization facility that allows around 2,000 judicial officers across Punjab to purchase government vehicles at concessional rates.
The initiative, approved by the chief justice of the Lahore High Court, is aimed at facilitating members of the provincial judiciary. The scheme was formally approved by the chief justice of the Lahore High Court.
Following the approval, the district judiciary director issued an official circular outlining the implementation process and eligibility criteria for judicial officers across Punjab.
Around 2,000 judicial officers to benefit
Under the scheme, approximately 2,000 judicial officers have been allowed to purchase government vehicles at concessional prices ranging from Rs250,000 to Rs350,000.
The transport monetization facility is expected to benefit judicial officers serving in various courts throughout Punjab.
The scheme covers several categories of judicial officers, including:

District and Sessions Judges

Additional District and Sessions Judges
-
Senior Civil Judges
-
Civil Judges
-
Family Judges
In addition, judges serving in specialized courts have also been declared eligible.

The scheme further extends to judges of the Punjab judiciary who are currently serving on deputation in the Supreme Court, Islamabad High Court, Constitutional Court, and other institutions.
The Lahore High Court has directed all eligible judicial officers to complete the required formalities by July 22.
Judicial officers have been instructed to report to the registrar, Lahore High Court, and submit a pay order in favor of the high court to complete the process under the transport monetization scheme.
