Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Tariq Fazal Chaudhry has said that the medical report of PTI Founder Imran Khan is satisfactory and there is no immediate need to shift him to a hospital.
In an exclusive interview with Samaa TV, the minister stated that the founder’s condition is stable and improving, dismissing concerns about any emergency situation.
Vision improving, no emergency
Chaudhry said that the vision in one eye of Imran Khan is 100%, while the other eye has improved by 70% and continues to show further progress.
“There is no emergency situation that requires shifting him to the hospital,” he said.

He added that if doctors consider hospital treatment necessary in the future, the government will not hesitate to shift him.
The minister also clarified that the illness is not of such a nature that treatment cannot be carried out in Pakistan or that the founder would need to be sent abroad.
Detailed medical examination
Sharing details on social media platform X, Chaudhry said that the PTI founder underwent a detailed medical examination on Sunday in Adiala Jail. He said the government provided every necessary facility to ensure that no question of negligence arises.
According to the minister, Imran Khan has been administered an injection, and the second dose is scheduled for February 25.
An ambulance equipped with an OCT scan machine and other specialized equipment was taken to the jail to facilitate the examination. The medical check-up was conducted by Dr. Muhammad Arif of PIMS and Professor Dr. Nadeem Qureshi of Shifa Hospital.

Senior experts Dr. Asim Yousaf and Dr. Mirza were also involved through a conference call, he added. Barrister Gohar was kept informed about all developments during the treatment process.
Swelling reduced, further tests planned
According to the initial medical report shared by the minister, there has been a clear reduction in eye swelling, and no major complications have emerged.
“The treatment is yielding positive results, and for now it has been decided to continue the current medication,” he said.
Experts have suggested that Vabysmo could be considered as an alternative treatment option. The next step, according to the minister, is an angiogram, after which a decision will be made regarding possible laser treatment if required.
Govt informed family
Tariq Fazal Chaudhry said the government informed Imran Khan's family that they could be present during the medical examination. However, he claimed that no representative from the family attended, and all proceedings were carried out under the supervision of independent experts.

Despite being a prisoner, the Khan is being provided with all medical facilities, he emphasized.
“It is the responsibility of the state to provide quality treatment to every citizen. No negligence has been committed,” he added.
Opposition briefed
The minister said that Barrister Gohar and Raja Nasir Abbas were briefed on the founder’s medical report at PIMS. According to him, PTI leaders themselves have termed the medical report satisfactory. However, he accused PTI of doing politics over the treatment of its founder.
He also criticized the PTI government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, saying it has made the lives of people difficult by blocking roads.
“Thirty to 40 people have parked vehicles everywhere and blocked roads,” he said, alleging that police are not clearing the roads due to the PTI government.
He appealed to the opposition to end the sit-in at Parliament House, noting that the Red Zone is a sensitive area with embassies and key installations.
“Keeping in mind the sensitivity of the Red Zone, a scene should not be created here,” he said.
He further urged PTI to act responsibly and avoid creating chaos in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
