Another rain-producing weather system is set to enter Pakistan from February 16, bringing thunderstorms to several regions, including Karachi.
The Meteorological Department has issued forecasts for multiple provinces over the next two days. According to the Met Department, a westerly wind system is likely to enter the country on February 16.
This system is expected to trigger rain and thunderstorms in different parts of Pakistan starting Monday evening and continuing into Tuesday.
Rain is forecast in various areas of Balochistan on February 16 and 17. The Met Office said showers are expected in parts of the province on Monday evening and Tuesday as the system moves across the region.
Karachi, Sindh to receive rain on Feb 17
Thunderstorms are also expected in the southern parts of the country, including Karachi. The Meteorological Department has predicted rain in different areas of Sindh, including Karachi, on February 17 (Tuesday).
KP and south Punjab forecast
Rain has also been predicted in Waziristan, Bannu and Dera Ismail Khan (DI Khan) on February 16 and 17. In addition, different areas of south Punjab are likely to receive rain on February 17.
Hailstorm warning
The Met Department has warned that hail may fall in DI Khan and DG Khan, along with parts of north Balochistan, during this weather spell.
Residents in affected areas are advised to remain cautious, especially during thunderstorms and possible hailstorms.
