Pakistan’s security forces have successfully concluded Operation Radd-ul-Fitna-1 against Indian-sponsored terrorist elements in Balochistan, delivering what the military described as a decisive blow to militant networks operating in the province.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operation neutralized hundreds of terrorists but also came at a heavy cost, with civilians and security personnel laying down their lives in the line of duty.
ISPR said that major counterterrorism operations were conducted in Panjgur and Harnai on January 29, during which 41 terrorists were killed.
These actions were part of a broader, intelligence-driven campaign launched under Operation Radd-ul-Fitna-1 to counter attempts to destabilize Balochistan.
Security forces, law enforcement agencies, and intelligence services worked in close coordination to foil all desperate attempts by Fitna-ul-Hindistan to spread unrest in the province.
ISPR stated that the response was strong, organized, and decisive, preventing terrorist groups from achieving their objectives despite sustained clashes.
216 terrorists killed
As a result of the initial clashes and subsequent clearance operations, ISPR confirmed that a total of 216 terrorists were killed across different areas.
The military said these actions significantly reduced the operational space available to militant networks active in Balochistan.
The statement added that the leadership, command and control structure, and operational capabilities of the terrorist groups were severely damaged during the operation.
Weapons, evidence recovered
During the operations, security forces recovered a large cache of foreign-made weapons, ammunition, explosives, and other equipment.
ISPR said that evidence of organized external support and logistical backing for the terrorists also emerged, reinforcing claims of foreign sponsorship behind the violence.
Heavy human cost
While declaring the operation a success, ISPR acknowledged the grave human cost, stating that 36 innocent civilians, including women and children, were martyred.
Additionally, 22 security forces personnel embraced martyrdom while confronting terrorist elements and protecting civilians.
ISPR reaffirmed that Pakistan’s security forces remain committed to eliminating terrorism and safeguarding the people of Balochistan, adding that sacrifices made during Operation Radd-ul-Fitna-1 would not be in vain.
The military emphasized that operations against terrorist networks and their facilitators will continue wherever necessary.
Operations to continue
The entire nation pays tribute to the martyrs and expresses complete solidarity with their families, the ISPR said. The armed forces are determined to continue operations against terrorism in all its forms with full force under the National Action Plan, according to the ISPR.
Counterterrorism operations will continue with unwavering resolve until terrorist threats are completely eliminated, the military’s media wing stated, adding that Operation Radd-ul-Fitna-1 reflects the unshakable determination of the brave people of Pakistan, particularly the people of Balochistan.
The people of Balochistan will always choose peace over violence, unity over chaos, and development over terrorism, the statement added.
