Cold weather accompanied by cloudy skies is expected to prevail across most upper districts of Punjab, with rain, thunderstorms and snowfall forecast in several areas, according to provincial authorities.
The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) Punjab has forecast rain in Lahore, Rawalpindi, Jhelum, Attock, Chakwal, Hafizabad, Sialkot, Narowal, and Sheikhupura.
Authorities said residents should remain cautious as changing weather conditions may impact daily activities.
Strong winds and thunderstorms
More rain is expected in Gujrat, Gujranwala, and Mandi Bahauddin, accompanied by strong winds and thunderstorms. The PDMA said the spell of unstable weather could intensify at times, especially during evening and night hours.

In Murree, Galiyat, and surrounding areas, intermittent rain and snowfall are expected along with strong winds and thunderstorms. Authorities warned that the weather in these hilly regions may remain severe, urging travelers and tourists to exercise caution.
Cold, dry weather in remaining districts
For the rest of Punjab’s districts, the weather is expected to remain cold and dry. According to the PDMA, most districts are likely to experience cold and dry conditions on Saturday as well.
In Murree, Galiyat, and nearby areas, the weather is forecast to stay extremely cold with partly cloudy skies.
Lahore overnight rain
Following continuous rainfall since last night, Lahore witnessed a noticeable change as the city appeared refreshed and vibrant. Pleasant winds continued to blow, making the weather enjoyable for residents.

The Met Department said sunshine and clouds would continue to alternate, adding that the minimum temperature in Lahore could drop to 3 degrees Celsius.
Islamabad sees cold, more rain possible
In Islamabad, rainfall continuing since yesterday has intensified the cold, reviving the winter chill. The washed-out cityscape has also improved the mood of residents.
The Met Department has forecast another spell of rain with thunder and lightning over the next one to three hours, along with further stormy snowfall in upper areas. Citizens have been advised to follow precautionary measures.
