Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan's sister Uzma Khan said on Tuesday that the deposed prime minister remains in good health at the jail.
Speaking to media after meeting with Imran Khan at Adiala jail, Uzma said that his condition was ‘completely fine’ and that he appeared fully recovered. She said Khan told her that he neither spoke to anyone nor received any arranged meetings.
According to sources, prison officials arranged the meeting at the jail’s conference room. Authorities earlier confirmed that the PTI founder’s sister had been allowed access after formal clearance.
Earlier, the jail administration said that she had been informed of the approval and would depart for the jail shortly.
The Rawalpindi City Police Officer inspected the Daghgal checkpoint and reviewed the security arrangements.
Police authorities said additional security personnel were deployed along Adiala Road in anticipation of any possible protest.
